DSA Non-Medical Help

I provide independent Specialist Study Skills Tutoring and Mentoring support directly to individuals, who are attending university or college and entitled to Disabled Students Allowance (DSA). I am qualified to the standards required by the Student Finance England and DSA. I am a registered DSA provider on the SLC website – full list of suppliers can be found here. I have been working with students with specific learning difficulties (SpLD) such as Dyslexia or Dyspraxia and students with Autism and Asperger’s for Study Skills and One-To-One AS Mentoring for the last 11 years. My current rates are £60 per hour (No VAT) for both SpLD and ASD Study Skills and £60 per hour (No VAT) for ASD Mentoring. Information on support and rates can be viewed here.

The DSA services I provide should not be seen as a substitute for mental health services, therapy or counselling, they are non-medical help services and are there to help you facilitate your studies and develop strategies to manage various aspects of university. I cannot make any clinical diagnosis (physical or mental), and the work I do does not offer “cures”. If you have any difficulties or would like to make a complaint about the services provided please refer to the complaint policy.

Due to the current situation with COVID, additional hygiene and distancing measures are in place with the delivery my work. Government guidelines are followed and additional risk assessments are completed – I am offering both face to face and remote working. Please contact me if you have any concerns or questions.
