Change Happens When We Want It!
My life and work experience, and the journey of change I have taken has equipped me with so much insight, expertise and knowledge to support so many of my clients and students to achieve their goals – whether these are personal, educational or work related.
I acutely understand the effects of stress on the body and mind and have a deep understanding of what we need to do to make changes and break habits and patterns, how to step back from the stress and come to a place of presence and calm. I understand that big change in our lives starts with very small steps – it is the ripple effect of the pebble in the water, put in the good and watch it spread. Each small change we make is a piece of the bigger jigsaw puzzle of our lives and allowing the life to present us with opportunities.
My story is pretty unique and is one of struggle, physically, emotionally and financially; yet it is one of determination strength, resilience and change. In 2014 at the age of 41 after a lifetime of suffering the consequences of early physical and emotional trauma, I simply wanted out of how I was feeling, and I started to recognise that my difficulties in life were not exernal to me, but were due to my past experiences and traumas.
Instead of once again, reaching to my external environment and material world to ‘fix me’ I went internal and started working on my mind, body and inner self. In doing so I have combated several unhealthy addictions and negative behaviour patterns and habits, which was tough!
But by letting go of incredibly destructive behaviour patterns I found more clarity and peace of mind. By undergoing several mind and body therapies to facilitate these changes, I have transitioned to a new way of living and being, whilst also coming to terms with my past experiences and traumas and making peace with them. The work on my inner self has led me to my new path and a new way of being and has done more for me than 20 years of medication ever did. Each day is a new change and new growth in my life.
Most of all I understand life can be full of joy and laughter and sometimes we can suffer setbacks and sadness that can knock us back, and we can then feel stuck and frustrated. If you decide to take up some coaching or mentoring sessions I guarantee you will have some fun along the way, get to know yourself slightly better and recognise how small changes can create big steps towards a more satisfying life.
